WSU’s Annual High School Band Day
Band Day Registration
The 2024 Band Day will take place on Saturday, September 7 during the WSU Football game against Texas Tech!
Band Day students attend morning rehearsal, eat lunch, and perform at halftime with the Cougar Marching Band! Participation prices (including tickets to the game, lunch, and a hat for participants) are listed below.
- Band Day Participant (includes hat, lunch, and ticket) – $65
- Band Day Family/Chaperone – $44

For those students coming to WSU for HS Band Day, here is some information:
What to wear – band polo/band t-shirt (no preference on bottom, shorts or pants are acceptable)
Check in – Kimbrough Music Building beginning at noon
Rehearsal – 1:00 PM in GESA Field (at check in we’ll have people bring you there)
Performance – You will meet behind the band during the second quarter (with about 5:00 left). Once halftime begins, you will be escorted on field for your performance with the CMB.
Meal – Late Lunch/early dinner provided by Subway. We will have gatorade for all hs band students after rehearsal (both with and without sugar)
Note: You must have the participant ticket sold by WSU in order to participate with the CMB at halftime.
All students will be given a WSU CMB hat for their performance (to keep)
Instruments: WSU does not have any instruments available for HS band student use. Please make arrangements to bring your own.

September 7 v. Texas Tech (7:00 PM Kickoff)
Gameday Timing (TENTATIVE)
12:00 PM – HS Band Day Check in – Kimbrough Music Building
1:00 PM – Rehearsal in GESA
2:00 PM – Rehearsal Dismissal for Lunch at Kimbrough
4:20 PM (Approx) – Band Departs for Cougar Prowl
4:35 PM (Approx) – Cougar Prowl at the Fieldhouse
5:05 PM – Return to Kimbrough to cool off, HS students spend time with families.
5:45 PM – Cougville Performance
6:15 PM – Enter Stadium (Go into seating area and place things)
6:40 PM – Pregame Performance
7:00 PM – Kickoff, BEAT THE Red Raiders!
8:30 PM – Halftime Performance – Rock and Roll HoF Show with HS Band Students
10:15 PM – Approximately when game concludes.
After halftime you are welcome to stay for the remainder of the game or head home.
