Drumline

Marching percussion at WSU provides an excellent opportunity to keep those rudimental chops in shape. We move, groove, and entertain! We are both a section within the Cougar Marching Band and a standalone drumline that performs at sporting events outside of football.

WSUDL alumni often reminisce about their time on the line because we are considered a strong support group. Life-long friendships are cultivated during rehearsal and performance days and many members remain best friends long after graduation.

We are more than an ensemble.

Fall Season

CMB Drumline – the best section in The Best In The West! The Cougar Marching Band performs at all home football games as well as various pep rallies, Alumni events, and a handful of other small performances.  Enrollment in MUS 444-02 in the fall semester is required.  Additionally, the drumline will often be asked to perform at events as a standalone ensemble.

Spring Season

ZZU Drums – performs at all WSU Women’s Basketball home games, as well as at a handful of other sporting events on campus. The basketball season starts in the late fall semester and continues through the spring semester. Enrollment in MUS 444-03 in the spring semester is required.
