Feature twirler auditions are officially open!

The feature twirler position at WSU has become an important part of our entertainment and representation across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. The audition requirements are below. Please feel free to let me know if you have questions. Good luck, and GO COUGS!!!

All materials are to be submitted electronically to troy.bennefield@wsu.edu and are due by 11:59pm Pacific on March 6.

Interested candidates must submit:

  • Video of you twirling in front of live audiences. Please submit at least 2 different routines. Video of you performing with a band is preferred but not required. Diversity in performance is a plus as we want to see how versatile you are with your routines. We play many different types of music.
  • Two letters of recommendation. One of these needs to be from a coach/sponsor
  • A resume of your activities, accomplishments, awards, etc. Basically, we want to know the great things you’re doing in and out of twirling
  • A written statement (no more than a page or two) detailing why you’d like to be the feature twirler at WSU and why you would be a great representative of the Cougar Marching Band and the entire university.
