Audition Information

The audition process for the fall drumline occurs Friday and Saturday at the beginning of camp in August (a couple days before winds and brass arrive, which is usually on Sunday, eight days prior to the first day of classes). Auditions consist of members playing their instruments of choice for drumline instructor Dr. Christopher Wilson on Friday evening (10 days before the start of class), then during an ensemble rehearsal (or sectionals) while the instructor moves members around – between sections and within sections – to provide the best sound for the line and the best fit for the player. If you have to miss the Friday audition due to marching in DCI, other arrangements can be made for your audition! To be best prepared for your audition, please work on the music in the CMB drumline’s warmup packet and pregame set packet.
